So the PG City Council met tonight to chat about the 4 - 7 pm Farmers Market held Mondays on Lighthouse Ave. Apparently the PG Downtown Business Improvement District has been whining about loss of business during the 4 - 7 pm block. That group pleaded to City Council's Planning Commission to get the location moved. The event is put on by Everyone's Harvest, a group whose mission is to "support sustainable agriculture and local economic development and promote community building through the creation and operation of Certified Farmers Markets."
Honestly, I don't have a preference of where the market is held, but I think they should consider parking issues and - if they do move - advertise the move! There are some closer markets to where I live... still need to hit those up! I miss the SLO Farmers Market :(
